We were the first company to produce a machine with a filter cigarette in 1960. Since then, the company continues to grow and become one of the key players in the cigarette industry of Indonesia.
The Company is a member of the British American Tobacco Group, the second largest tobacco group in the world by market share globally with operations in more than 180 countries. Currently we are the manufacturer of the four largest cigarette in Indonesia with a market share of around 8%. We manufacture and market a diverse range of products on the machine kretek, clove cigarettes and cigarette-white hand. Our portfolio includes local brands such as True, Star Mild, Tali Jagat, Buana Star Mild and Uno as well as the direction of global brands (GDB) such as Dunhill, Lucky Strike and Pall Mall. Our business activities include general trading including import and export, manufacture cigarettes, cigarettes and other tobacco, and services unless the services in the field of law and taxation.

Currently employs approximately 6989 employees involved in every stage of the tobacco industry, from leaf buying and processing tobacco to the production process, marketing and distribution of cigarettes. Our distribution network spread all over Indonesia to ensure that our products are available in most areas in Indonesia.
The year 2010 was the first operational year for Bentoel after the merger PT BAT Indonesia Tbk and PT Bentoel International Investama Tbk (the Company). Joining these two companies bring many challenges but we have successfully faced the challenge to provide outstanding achievement in 2010. We believe that achieving excellence is a journey.
